Growing up with an incarcerated parent affects every part of a person’s life and the financial struggle we have can be overbearing. I love that Creative Corrections offers a scholarship, acknowledging the struggle we have been through and supporting us in becoming something beyond our family’s situation. By the grace of God and the help of this foundation, I graduated this year as a Registered Nurse from Skagit Valley College. They have helped me be successful in setting an example for my family, create a future that gives back, and for my dad to have something positive come out of his incarceration. Thank you!
