Pitzer Family Education Foundation-PFEF, provides educational opportunities for young adults generally between the ages of 18-27, who have a parent incarcerated on parole. PFEF has awarded several scholarships for children of the incarcerated each year, assisting them with enrollment cost to college and trade schools nationwide.
PFEF is a 501c3 non-profit that provides scholarship and financial aid opportunities to children of the incarcerated and individuals released from prison on parole to enroll in college, trade school and trade certificate courses.
PFEF relies on donation support to operate. We are always in need of donation support from the local community, local businesses, corporations and the incarcerated. Without community support, we would not be able to assist so many young adults who are struggling to make ends meet due to lack of job skills or education.
Our goal is to stop second generational crime by breaking the cycle of young adults following in their parents’ footsteps of going to prison. Donation to PFEF will make a tremendous impact on the foundation achieving the above goal, making communities safer for all.

How the incarcerated can make a difference on reducing Second Generation Crime
PFEF is asking the incarcerated to donate once a month, the price of a candy bar, to help send a young adult of an incarcerated parent to school. Every penny that is donated by the incarcerated will go directly towards a scholarship. No incarcerated donated funds will ever be used for overhead costs, administrative fees, or staff salaries.
How the public can make a difference on reducing Second Generation Crime
Donors have the option of funding a scholarship for young adults of the incarcerated in any state nationwide. Donors can fund a scholarship in the name of a loved one. Donations can be given to fund a $5,000, $1,000 dollar scholarship or any amount you choose. Donors will receive a thank you letter appropriate for IRS Charitable Giving. Our progress on scholarship awards will be continually updated on this website displaying the state and number of awards given to date.
